Thanks so much for the honesty! I am in the same boat and needed some support today and found you here on utube. I am watching all your videos now and love to see the journey. I am 3 months out of surgery and have lost aprox. 60lbs. You need to move here to Las Vegas with that great voice of yours! And now you are so glam too. I was sick and tired of life as it was too- being fat. Things have started to change for me and I hope to be down to 150 by next summer. You are the best! TY again

No i’m not fat. your insensitive. I work out and eat right i’m just naturally big. I’ve got no problem with that. I don’t want to be small. But i do have a problem with people that hate them selfs so much, that they go around calling people rude names.

How can people be so rude. People don’t choose surgery becuase they want to choose the easier way, it’s a health choice. Alot of people have a hard time with loosing weight. And yes america’s obesity has risen, food isn’t perfect and people arn’t perfect. Now that you have to work 24/7 to keep your head above water its hard to always eat right.
Stop being conceited. I’m 15 years old to, i am over weight. I would’nt have the surgery, but its perfectly fine if someone wants to. SUCK ON THAT!

Good luck, My wife had it done and lost 160 LBS in a year and looks amazing, she went from a size 22W to a size 4 and she feels great and gets starrs every where she goes, she is 39 and looks 24 as people tell her.

This was a great intro video, thank you for sharing. I needed some inspiration and found this video. I’m struggling right now with some emotional eating. How are you doing with the emotional side of what led to you being overweight? Does it get easier with weight loss? I hope that’s not too personal a question. Keep up the great work!

I’m not “against” them, I just didn’t think it was the right choice for me. My reasons were 1) becuase of the amount of weight I had/have to lose, 2) my doctor agreed with me on that and urged me to NOT get the band 3) I am uncomfortable with a “port” in my side (I know, wacky) 4) I didn’t want to have to continually go for saline injections/fills. Those were my reasons. Hope that helps!

I mean to reply to this earlier, but what a coincidence that we’re both in Lowell! I wanted to go to the Lowell General meetings, but since they’re held on Tuesdays, I can’t because I teach until 7:30 pm. Booo! I was actually thinking of starting a local group out of my house. Hi Taunia, What a coincidence! I live in Lowell too…I am in the pre op stage and am hoping to have my surgery when school gets out in June. I am going to begin attending some of the required support groups at Lowell Generals Center for Weight Loss Management – maybe I’ll see you there (if that’s where you are going)!
